Project description
By upgrading all of its infrastructure, the Société des Transports de Montréal (STM) has awarded the Place-des-Arts station redevelopment project to Cegerco. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, the project consists mainly of the open-pit excavation of two (2) new elevator wells and the installation of three (3) elevators including work in telephony, electricity, ventilation, waterproofing, structural and architectural related.
Thanks to the know-how of Cegerco, all the challenges present during the realization of the project have been successfully met:
- Management of the project by ensuring the accessibility of services to network users
- Deep excavation and installation of tempo-raire retaining walls in Berlin
- groundwater treatment and contaminated soil management
- The existing indoor environmental conditions in the station must be maintained at all times
- Works in urban areas with restricted work areas
- Commercial activities in the vicinity
- Management of traffic plans
