The work on this project consists of the construction of a new control structure inside the existing substation. The growth in electricity demand in the sector is forcing Hydro-Québec to build this new building to meet growing needs.

The new station will be fed by a new line from the Sources station. The new 57 m x 32 m control building is constructed of steel framing on reinforced concrete walls and pilasters.

The work included the following:

  • Excavation and backfill of the new building
  • Formwork and concreting of foundations and interior slabs
  • Mechanical, electrical and architectural works of the building
