Customer :

Maple CDB JV, Parcs Canada

Project description

In June 2017, Cegerco qualified with its hydroelectric expertise for the Trent-Severn Waterway infrastructure project, managed by the Maple CDB JV consortium, for the owner Parks Canada.

The mandate includes the rehabilitation of several of the retention structures on the Trent Severn Waterway, which begins in Trenton, to extend 386 km north of Ontario to Georgian Bay. The Dam 12 project, located near Campbellford, is the first that Cegerco has obtained from this extensive rehabilitation program.

The work was planned in 2 phases: Demolition and construction of the access bridge, left bank. To do this, a stone cofferdam was used.
The second phase, started in September 2019, includes the demolition of a threshold of approximately 50 m long to rebuild in the same place a new spillway including 4 motorized valves. The works were carried out thanks to the installation of a cofferdam in a steel box.
