Project description

In June 2018, Cegerco was entrusted, by the multinational GE, with the construction of all the concrete foundations and the civil works of its turnkey project, from the 315kV / 25kV transformer station to wastewater treatment plant J .-R.-Marcotte.

This work is a prelude to the future ozonation treatment of the city of Montreal at its main wastewater treatment plant located at the far east of the island of Montreal.

For Cegerco, the work consists of:

  • 3,600 m³ of concrete, mainly for the foundations of the building, the equipment bases, the transformer basin
  • 40,000 m³ of excavation and backfill including sewer and aqueduct works
  • Execution of 81 large diameter screw piles
  • Erection of 3 fire walls 10 m high

The client’s main priority was the delivery of concrete within 24 weeks, in a constantly changing environment.
