Val-Jalbert

Project description

Cegerco’s recognized expertise has enabled us to carry out these complex works while respecting the activities
of a historic place like that of Val-Jalbert. To carry out this mini-central project with a capacity of
17 MW, as general contractor, Cegerco planned and executed all the works necessary for the realization
of the project.

Integrating a modern installation in a historic site as well known and visited as the village of Val-Jalbert
was a stimulating challenge for the Cegerco team. This project allowed us to contribute to the realization of the first
SECDLSJ member community energy project.

The project was divided into two sectors: the intake and the power plant. The water intake is located at
just over 900 m upstream from the power plant.

Both sectors required cofferdam, blasting, excavation, formwork, concreting
and installation of mechanical and electrical systems. In addition, we have set up
from the water penstock to the turbine.

This 1.5 year project occupied a team of four managers and, at the height of the work,
nearly 100 skilled workers were required.
