Project description

The works covered by the contract mainly included the design and construction of a new warehouse-type building, including a closed corridor connecting it to the existing Manic 5 plant building.

Cegerco has added partners for the main professional activities and site implementation. With the collaboration of a firm of engineers and architects, the concept of the building was developed with the participation of contractors specialized in the following disciplines: structure, mechanical, electrical and ventilation.

Throughout the submission, a coordination process was established between these stakeholders in order to meet the qualitative objectives in the tender documents.

On June 8, 2017, Cegerco was awarded the construction mandate for this building following its turnkey proposal.

The project started with the issuance of construction drawings between June 8, 2017 and August 23, 2017. The work on the site was carried out between August 31, 2017, date of mobilization at the site until December 4, 2017, date of demobilization, while respecting the date of November 18 for the delivery of the building to the owner.

One of the interesting features of this site, a precast concrete alternative was used for the construction of the foundations. This method has proven to be advantageous due to the proximity of the manufacturing plant, even though it is in a remote area.
